Matthew 5:8

“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

The Lord speaks to me in a single word and then He tells me to find the meaning of that word and how it applies to Him. He gave me the word “Pure” and this word has completely changed the way that I see and hear it.

The definition of Pure is: not mixed or adulterated with any other substance or material, free of any contamination, free from sin, innocent, untainted with evil, pure in heart, free of or without guilt. The Hebrew meaning of “Pure” is clean.

To God the heart represents your desires, affections, motives and principles. What does God see when He looks at your heart? The heart of a man is naturally unclean, nor is it in the power of man to make it clean.

For a long time I tried this life without God. I would do right for a little bit but my desires and motives were not pure. Or I would pretend everything was fine but inside I hated my life and everything in it.

“The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart and the evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”

It is the quality of your inner life, not that which you pretend to be, that is significant. For a while you may be able to present a false front but a time will come when you will be put to the test. The only way to be pure in heart is Jesus. Jesus coming into your heart making it clean. Freeing it from contamination and sin; making your heart innocent and free of guilt. You simply cannot do it without Him. Once you let Him come in and completely complete your heart and remove all the trash from it everything changes. Through patterns, desires, motives and then your outward actions. He changes all of it. God comes in and begins to reveal Himself to you.

The pure in heart, shall see God. You and I get to see God for who He is. If you are pure at heart that is a promise. Shall means it will happen. Being pure in heart gets you two gifts. One, you get to be blessed by Jesus and two, you get to see Him. HALLELUJAH! Thank you Jesus!

"We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love." 2 Corinthians 6:6

Invite Jesus into your heart today so that you get that pure heart. Then you automatically get the promises. God is waiting for you.

Therefore we do not lose heart though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16

I hope this blesses you the way God blessed me with it. May God open your ears and eyes to new revelations of Him. In Jesus name amen.
