At the beginning of March 2020 God gave me “The Woman at the well”. After reading this passage in the Bible I asked God what this meant for me. He told me I was the woman at the well and that I am to find other women at the well and bring them to the Living Water. He then told me that he’d confirm that this is really him by this story being preached at the Bible conference I was going to attend at my church. It was the last day of the conference and, low and behold, the last preacher of the day portion preached on the woman at the well. When I spoke to the pastor about how God used him to confirm God’s direction for my life, he then told me that he had no intention of preaching that message, but God would not let him use his prepared message and he had made that change at the last minute.
This assignment that has been given to me is the whole reason for starting The Living Water’s Ministry. It is to find other “women at the well” who are thirsty for living water that only Christ can provide. It is my heart and my mission to be the hands and feet of Christ. I am the “woman at the well” and nothing could restore me until I surrendered it all to my Savior. My prayer is that God will bring broken women to our ministry; and that they will find salvation, redemption, restoration, strengthening, and fulfillment in God alone. May God not only bless those that grace our door steps but their children and children’s children starting a new lineage of Christ followers.
March 5, 2021 (one year later) Julie and I closed on the land that will be home to Living Water’s Ministry! God is faithful, worthy of all praise and true to His word!
This verse was given to me on 3/4/21 and again on 3/5/21:
Jeremiah 29:10-14 10 This is what the Lord says: “You will be in Babylon for seventy years. But then I will come and do for you all the good things I have promised, and I will bring you home again. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”
My Prayer: Father, You are worthy! I am reminded of 1 Corinthians 2:9 “That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” Help me to love You with ALL of my heart, soul, mind and strength. Help me to seek You wholeheartedly. God Your promises to me are always certain and always good! So help me to not fear for You are with me. Help me not to be dismayed because You are my God. Strengthen and help me Father and uphold me with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). Keep my mind steadfast on You because I trust in You, so that I will be kept in Your perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Help me not to be afraid or discouraged because the Lord himself goes before me and is with me and will never leave me nor forsake me (Deuteronomy 31:8). Cement those things on my heart so that I will NEVER forget them. Instruct me, Father, in the ways I should go, counsel me with Your loving eyes on me (Psalm 32:8). Lord, make firm my steps. Help me to delight in You and so though I may stumble I will not fall because You Lord uphold me with Your hand (Psalm 37:23-24).
Father, I have been a wreck to levels I didn’t even fully see, but oh how Your grace is sufficient for me. Your power is made perfect in my weakness. So I will boast gladly in my weakness so that Christ’s power may rest on me. So, I delight in weakness, insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties for when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Help me to walk in the strength of the Lord God (Psalm 71:16). Help me to keep my eyes on You, Father. Keep my focus on how big You are for when I see how big You are EVERYTHING else is small! I pray all this in Jesus’s name. Amen
