A Word Given To Me on 02/10/2023
God first took me to these verses:
2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”
1 Kings 9:1-9 NLT “So Solomon finished building the Temple of the Lord, as well as the royal palace. He completed everything he had planned to do. Then the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had done before at Gibeon. The Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your petition. I have set this Temple apart to be holy—this place you have built where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart. “As for you, if you will follow me with integrity and godliness, as David your father did, obeying all my commands, decrees, and regulations, then I will establish the throne of your dynasty over Israel forever. For I made this promise to your father, David: ‘One of your descendants will always sit on the throne of Israel.’ “But if you or your descendants abandon me and disobey the commands and decrees I have given you, and if you serve and worship other gods, 7 then I will uproot Israel from this land that I have given them. I will reject this Temple that I have made holy to honor my name. I will make Israel an object of mockery and ridicule among the nations. 8 And though this Temple is impressive now, all who pass by will be appalled and will gasp in horror. They will ask, ‘Why did the Lord do such terrible things to this land and to this Temple?’ “And the answer will be, ‘Because his people abandoned the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to them. That is why the Lord has brought all these disasters on them.’”
1 John 2: 3-6 NLT ”And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.
Deuteronomy 30:19 NLT “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!”
Romans 12:3 NLT Because of the privilege and authority[c] God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.”
Acts 26:14 NLT “…It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
And I heard Him say to me:
Obedience and My place in people’s hearts have always been important! It’s always come down to a matter of choice… Choices can take you closer to Me or further away…
Choices don’t just impact individuals, it impacts future generations as well.
My people need to individually humble themselves before Me.
Invite Me into this process and ask Me to search you… partner with Me… turn from destructive thoughts, behaviors, and mindsets. I long to pull you into the safety of My deep embrace but you cannot get to this place leaning to your own understanding and going your own way and leaving Me as an afterthought.
I AM and should always be your first line of defense. Come to Me, here you will find rest.
Stop kicking against the conviction of your heart that’s trying to get you to go in the direction of Me.
My people are far too concerned with what others think – instead of what I think…
Come to the altar – pour your heart out to Me so that I can pour Myself on to you.
Come let Me give you rest… let Me give you direction… let Me give you peace.
You cannot follow Me and go your own way – Choose today whom you will serve!
Prayer:
My Lord, prepare in us Your Holy temple… Make us Holy as You are Holy... Don’t allow us to be satisfied with just being righteous judicially… but let us desire to be righteous in our deeds as well. Give us the strength and desire to radically obey You in every aspect of our lives. May our love for You trump our love for ANYTHING in this world. Give us the ability to choose You my Lord. Change our hearts and our minds, bend us and break us for You. Break through and break forth in us in such a way that we are able to humble ourselves willingly before You. We invite you into this process. We ask that You search us, know us and reveal and heal any destructive thoughts, behaviors, and mindsets that are not of You… We ask that You burn them out of us in the mighty name of Jesus. We break our alignments to them but we need Your help. Finish what You’ve started in us Lord we are so desperate for Your help.
Father, give us hearts that long to be in your deep embrace more than we long for anything else in this world. Do not allow anything to stand in the way of our intimacy with You. Protect us from leaning on our own understanding but in all our ways help us to trust You and You alone. Be our first line of defense! May we run to You and hide ourselves in You completely so You can provide us rest, direction, and peace. Help us to stop kicking against any conviction of our hearts that are trying to get us in line with You. Let us only care about Your thoughts and opinions of us. Teach us what abiding in You looks like. May we follow You all the days of our lives so Your goodness and mercy can follow us. As for us and our house we chose to serve You all the days of our lives. The line is drawn… We stand with you…We give You our will. Now help us to accomplish this because this can ONLY be done in You. Not by power… not by might… but by YOUR Spirit.
We bind and cancel all movement of the enemy over our lives and we release Your perfect will as it is in Heaven over us here on earth… Have your perfect way…Bring heaven down here in our lives in Jesus name! May Your glory sweep every room of our hearts and minds. We praise and honor you and we ask Holy Spirit that you consume us with Your all-consuming fire. May we love what You love and hate what You hate… may our desires be your desires.
Turn our hearts and our complete substance towards You and You alone in the Mighty name of Jesus we pray - AMEN
